The design was a real challenge as the project function is a 4-star hotel and therefore it must achieve comfort and a level of sophistication that meets the desire of tourists and guests. This represents a real challenge considering the project location, which is characterized by simplicity and distinctive environmental elements that must be respected and preserved to achieve complete integration with a natural environment characterized by unique elements Like the desert and the nearby lake and the fluidity of the site between the highlands and the lowlands, all of this required strength and a different design thought in order to be able to achieve two goals that may have been opposite. The design team wanted to achieve the maximum possible luxury that was compatible with the function of the building, while at the same time it must respect the environmental simplicity and the surrounding urban elements.

The design is a powerful expression of the spirit of the place. The design team was creative in choosing bright, warm colors that express the embrace of visitors, which is what the building's function should achieve. The team also relied on highlighting the nature of the place with its different levels, leaving the general site to flow naturally between the low and high, carrying with it the built units as if it were a real oasis with small, tightly packed houses.

The team also ensured that all or most of the hotel units enjoy a distinctive view of the nearby lake, providing added luxury and enjoyment for visitors and guests This includes the use of natural plant elements unique to the desert environment, as another design element, with the goal of fully integrating with the surrounding environment.
Finally, the design relied on displaying muqarnas and elements of desert architecture and Nubian architecture to link the old and the modern in Egyptian architecture and desert architecture in North Africa, especially in the Egyptian oases.

The challenge of the design was Satisfy the client’s needs by maximizing the no. of units view towards lake view and sustainability with surrounding environment using creative and attractive solutions within the clients budget.
