Pyramids mall / M.T Architects
Commercial Pyramids mall Egypt
The mass of the mall is formed from 3 glimmering diamonds, each diamond is centered around recreation patio with different activities, roped together with the shopping promenade connection the 3 patios together. Parametric design, the future of design, was used in early stages, using advanced algorithmic process, Offering a reliable performance and speed. Also allowed designers to test many solutions.
MTA was keen to hire experts in the field of digital architecture, to use optimal parametric workflows, where the advancement of algorithmic modeling process allowed the team to make drastic major changes to the project in real-time where the software will update the whole algorithm in no time, cut down on repetitive tasks and drastically decrease modifications time. This approach allows designers to explore multiple iterations and design options before concluding the discussion of impact, and to meet multiple deadlines in fast track projects.
The parametric workflow was a win-win choice for the multidisciplinarity of the AEC Industry. Where it provided Better access to data leading to improved coordination, flexible modifications, better data extraction for multiple disciplines and fabrication phases, and documentation. The team was keen to using Advanced Technologies across project stages such as CNC fabrication, 3D printing for model making, latest technologies in glass solar panels, using optimization studies to study panels inclination and optimal sizes of glass sheets to fabricate triangular panels in manufacturing phase.
Furthermore, using interoperability workflows connecting Rhinoceros with a BIM platform and other platforms such as SAP and other programs, helped to overcome Revit modeling constraints creating an optimal workflow. Connecting such a powerful design tool with the most efficient and smart workflow for the industry is crucial to bringing your design to reality.
The wise management of Mohammed Talaat (CEO) enabled him to continuously adapt to new technological advancements, and his wisdom in believing in the capabilities of his team, Marwa Amgad in Design phase, Ragy Youakim and Micheal Samir in Design Development phase and Youstina G. Eskandar in parametric phases. Contentiously seeking to expand the team.
