The tenth edition of the international design exhibition, The Design Show 2025 (TDS), recently concluded. This latest edition represents the most prominent version of the leading design exhibition currently held in Egypt, the Middle East, and North Africa. The event showcased excellence in architecture, interior design, color trends, lighting, finishes, and much more. It took place at the Grand Conference Center – Nasr City, from May 15th to May 17th, 2025.

TDS 2025 – Exhibitor Booth Designs That Captivate the Eye
The dazzling design of the exhibitor booths was the highlight of the show. From the moment visitors arrived, they were captivated by the stunning designs, bold colors, decorative lighting, and the exceptionally impressive product displays. It was as if all participants were competing under one rule: design excellence—both in their booths and in the products themselves.
Throughout all the halls of the Cairo International Convention Center in Nasr City, visitors couldn't help but remain in awe of the booth designs—from the very beginning of their visit to the end of their tour across the five exhibition halls.
Main Exhibition Entrance:
From the very first moment of arrival, visitors are greeted by the exhibition flags, as well as the banners of major sponsors and exhibitors. This leads to the main entrance, marked by a red carpet and visitor registration desks. The exhibition logos cover the lobby’s walls and panels, set against a black backdrop, creating a warm and visually appealing design aesthetic.

T Track – A Glass-Fronted Booth That Reflects Transparency
The T Track booth, located opposite, exudes a sense of appealing transparency through its glass façade, which reveals the details of the displayed products up close.

This bold color scheme created a sense of excitement among exhibition visitors, reflecting a spirit of daring innovation and fast-paced elegance. The contemporary products were displayed in an attractive and well-aligned manner that complemented the overall booth design.

The products are displayed in well-defined yet unobtrusive corners, achieving a balance between visibility and elegance.

MTA Architects
The unmistakable imprint of MTA Architects on The Design Show has been evident since its very first edition. Year after year, MTA Architects continues to evolve its exhibition approach, conveying an emotional and design-driven message crafted by architect Mohamed Talaat for visitors to his booth.

This year, the focus wasn't on traditional displays or architectural boards mounted on the booth walls. Instead, the spotlight was on giant digital screens showcasing the most significant projects by the renowned architectural firm MTA. For Mohamed Talaat, this was the perfect way to express the spirit of the firm and its future aspirations—especially after participating as a speaker at an international architecture conference in Kazakhstan during the first half of the year. Through this booth, he aimed to send a message to the design community: the spirit of the age lies in digital presentation—of designs, events, and experiences—brought to life through immersive, large-scale screens that dominated the booth atmosphere and captivated visitors.
Mona Hussein Showcases Mahaaly Competition Results Through Her Booth at TDS 2025
Through a strong yet minimalistically designed booth dominated by shades of grey, Mona Hussein chose to place the spotlight on the outcomes of this year’s Mahaaly competition. The booth featured the winning products from the first, second, and third place entries, which were produced in collaboration with the competition’s sponsors—furniture manufacturers such as Riadco.

For the second consecutive year, Methods ensured its presence at TDS. This year, the open booth design—dominated by white tones, accented with black elements, and featuring extensive use of wood—created a warm and inviting atmosphere for visitors. This thoughtful design contributed significantly to the high footfall the booth experienced.
Dr. Alaa El Bahairy, founder of the Methods consultancy firm, is considered one of the most prominent Egyptian consultants participating in this year’s exhibition.

The young team succeeded in capturing the audience's attention through a smart and simple booth design, incorporating natural elements, a refined color palette of black and warm red, and soft lighting. Their thoughtful approach attracted a large number of visitors, offering a platform to present and discuss the firm’s architectural and urban design vision.

TAGDID, PENCILIGHT, EPONY & IVORY, and STONE TECH – White Takes Center Stage at TDS
Despite the differences in the products offered by the four companies—TAGDID, which specializes in restoring and revitalizing heritage furniture and antiques as well as producing modern upholstery designs; PENCILIGHT, known for high-end decorative lighting with artistic and aesthetic value; EPONY & IVORY, focused on contemporary office furniture; and STONE TECH, which produces artistic stone sculptures and ornaments—they all shared a common design choice: the use of pure white as the primary color for their exhibition booths.
However, each company took a different approach to booth design and product presentation. TAGDID and EPONY & IVORY opted for open, spacious layouts to showcase their furniture and textile pieces, while STONE TECH and PENCILIGHT chose a more gallery-like, museum-style display to highlight the artistry and detail of their products.

Mouble EL CHARK – The Chair Factory and Endless Stories at TDS 2025
The Mouble EL CHARK booth—The Chair Factory—could comfortably be described as a living museum, telling the stories behind each of its chairs. Every piece on display held value not only through the quality of its materials and the precision of its design, but also through the rich heritage it carried and the many characters who had owned or been connected to it in one way or another.
Each chair was accompanied by an audio narration within the booth, recounting its unique story. Alongside every piece, black panels featured elegant Arabic calligraphy in white, telling scenes from everyday life and moments tied to famous Egyptian personalities associated with that specific chair. Much like international museums that showcase their treasures with care and context, Mouble EL CHARK presented each piece in a way that evoked deep emotion, warmth, and intimacy.
Visitors couldn’t resist taking photos with the chairs—almost as if they, too, wanted to become part of the beautiful and timeless stories being told.

GLC Booth – A Space for Public Interaction and Design Discussions Rather Than a Traditional Product Showcase at TDS 2025
As the strategic sponsor of TDS since its inception, GLC occupied a prime exhibition space within the event. Their booth stood out with its spacious layout and a refined yet simple design, resembling a traditional Egyptian home with wide entrances, expansive rooms, and strong visual connectivity throughout.

This truly creative setup, with white walls as the primary backdrop, featured numerous welcoming seating areas for visitors to relax, enjoy refreshments, and engage in discussions about contemporary design trends and the role of color in the design process.
GLC succeeded in attracting one of the most important visitor segments—young designers, students, interior design experts, and notable figures from the design world, some of whom made appearances inside the booth.
Rather than focusing on showcasing their 2025 product lines in the form of paint containers, GLC deliberately emphasized the philosophy of color in design and its emotional and spatial impact. They presented their new color collections through fully furnished and painted decorative spaces—like bedrooms, living rooms, offices, and even open home and entertainment areas—to highlight how color influences the atmosphere of each environment.

The company's team provided in-depth explanations on how their new color palettes harmonize with other interior elements such as lighting and furniture, showing their practical application in various settings.
The booth was carefully designed to serve as a memorable photo spot for visitors and team members alike—a favorite destination not only to rest but also to enjoy the engaging insights shared by the outstanding GLC Products .

This provided visitors with a unique and immersive experience, helping them better visualize how the products would look in their own spaces.
